Test results of

VisTrak SCX and LX

vs

MLM2Pro, FlightScope, ProTee VX and GC3

SCX vs MLM2pro

Test was made using the SCX and the MLMPro running in parallel for the same shot

Test results show almost identical data when using the new GSA Golf CP version 10.1.7.6 or higher

Note that the MLM2pro does not capture club face or path

Many more comparison results coming soon

SCX vs ProTee VX

SCX vs ProTee VX

Iron shot

The above is a frame image of a test shot video from the VX

The above image shows the SCX data results from the exact same shot after loading the VX shot video into the SCX

For the first test, the complete post shot video will be loaded into the GSA Golf CP

and a data capture procedure will be run on them.

Note:

Due to the fact that the captured VX video is (presumably) only from one of the cameras (either the left or the right)

stereo vision calculations in the GSA Golf CP cannot be made.

Thus, ball VLA and HLA values have to be manually set for this initial video data comparison data test.

Even so, the GSA Golf results should be very similar to the data results in the VX video.

i.e. ball speed, ball back and side spin, spin axis, club speed, club path and club face angle.

Once this has been established, both the SCX and VX will be run together for each shot

to see if there are any major differences in the data capture results

SCX vs ProTee VX

Driver shot

Main discrepancy between the SCX and the ProTee VX in this driver shot

is the 10 plus degree difference in measured club face angle.

Whereas the VX is detecting a 0.9 degree open club face, the SCX is detecting a 11.5 degree open club face.

Not sure why this would be as it not known how the VX detects club face angle with a rounded face angle like a wood.

Based on the imported VX shot video, the club face would seem to be a lot more than 0.9 degrees open though.

With dark clubs like a black driver, the SCX requires that 2 white dots or a single white strip be attached to the club,

whereas the VX doesn't require these club markings.

Note that this large face angle discrepancy also vastly effects how the SCX measures side spin

SCX vs FlightScope

LX 12.99 mph, GC2 13.0 2 mph

LX 6.36 mph, GC2 6.0 3 mph

LX 16.5 mph, GC2 17.3 mph

Chipping

LX 49.73 mph, GC2 49.2

Full shots

LX 80.37 mph , GC2 78.9 2 mph

LX 78.63 mph , GC2 79.8 3 mph

LX 87.22 mph, GC2 88.0 mph

More LX comparison test results coming soon

Videos coming soon too

Note :

Additional comparison tests with the likes of the Trackman IO and Uneekor Eye XO

may be coming up as well but - as the ProTee VX is so accurate -

such tests are probably just splitting hairs and superfluous.
